1. At divergent boundaries, two plates move away from each other and magma moves through the gap created, making ocean floor, mid-ocean ridges, and shield volcanoes.
2. Plates slide past each other along transform plate boundaries. It is the continental-continental plate boundary.
3. Transform Plate Boundary is also called Transform Fault.
4. One transform plate boundary is the San Andreas Fault between the Pacific Plate and the North American Plate. This caused several kilometers of the North American Plate to move an average of 2.5 metres.
5. The earthquakes are usually shallow because they occur within and between plates that are not involved in subduction.
6. Transform plate boundaries are unique because the plates move horizontally past each other on strike-slip faults.
