1. 1.What is it ?
1.1. Impulse-control disorder in which the victim fails to resist the urge(need) to gamble, although it has consequences on their life, wether at work, with relationships or with their health. The victim doesn't need to gamble frequently to be considered as a problem gambler. You are considered as such whenever gambling impacts your life.

2.1. A common scenario -winning multiple bets -taking pleasure in gambling -using the money gained to place more bets -increasing frequency of betting and money at stake -cycle repeats itself until loss of a bet -trying to recover the money lost through betting, although the odds are against him
3. 5.Signs and symptoms
3.1. -obtaining the money from stealing -denial of the problem -increasing the amounts of money to feel the thrill linked to risk-taking -loss of interest for hobbies -asking family or friends to bail him out(help him by giving money) -concealing(keep secret) the amount of money and time spent on gambling -failure to control the gambling urge -work-related issues like absence from work -broken relationships
4. 6.How to adress it ?
4.1. -the first and most important step is to recognize that you have a problem -discuss it with your family, because they're impacted too -visit a therapist -seek help at self help groups -find new hobbies/activity or lost hobbies -set boundaries to your gambling
5. 3.Who is at risk of developping a gambling problem ?
5.1. younger people: gambling as a teenager increases the risk of a gambling problem Men : the vast majority of problem gamblers are men influenced persons: you tend to develop a problem gambling if a friend or relative is a problem gambler people suffering from Parkinson's disease: some drugs meant to treat Parkinson's disease have a side effect that prompts some people to gamble compulsively
