1.1.1.1. The general purpose of the document is to break away from england but there were two reasons for the Declaration:To declare to the world, that the British Colonies in America were declaring themselves an independent nation and that britian does not have a say on what the colonies do.

1.1.2.1. Thomas Jefferson was a big part in writing the Declaration of Independence but there were also 56 other people that were there to help write it but jefferson takes most of the credit.

1.1.3.1. The Declaration of Independence is a significant document at all times because it is a very important document and its the countries backbone.

All men are created equal, adopted freedom on July 4th, 1776, when the Congress were declared traitors by royal decree they responded by issuing the Declaration of Independence, John Hancock was first to sign it, and George Washington made American army have it read to them when it was first created.

1.2.1.1. The Northwest Ordinance established policies for the creation of new states and the admitting of those states into the confederation.

1.2.2.1. Nathan Dane and Rufus King are responsible.

1.2.3.1. The document is important since 1787 till now.

Became a law on July 13, 1787, Territories west of the Appalachin Mountains, north of the Ohio River, and east of the Mississippi River, 5,000 settlers were required to have a legislature, 60,000 were required to gain admission into the league as a state, The Ordinance had four important provisions: 1. Forbide the holding of slaves in the territory,2. Granted entire religious freedom to every settler, 3. Encouraged "schools and means of education" 4. Provided that the new territory should be cut up into states, equal in standing with the original 13.

1.3.1.1. The purpose of the Articles was to provide government for the original states.

1.3.2.1. John Dickinson was the writer of the Articles.

1.3.3.1. 1777-1787 PRovided government for them.

1.4.1.1. The constitution replaced the articles of confederation and was wrote in 1787. It basically creates a central government, gives the government powers, provides procedures for scenarios such as elections and supreme court nominations, and protects the rights of the people from the government.

1.4.2.1. George Washington, presided over the Convention. James Madison also.

1.4.3.1. The constitution is important from 1787 till now, it will always be the most important document. It sets all the laws and rules of America.

It is the oldest and shortest written Constitution of any major government in the world, The Constitution was “penned” by Jacob Shallus, A Pennsylvania General Assembly clerk, for $30, $726 today, Constitution Day is celebrated on September 17, the anniversary of the day the framers signed the document, When it came time for the states to ratify the Constitution, the lack of any bill of rights was the primary sticking point, The oldest person to sign the Constitution was Benjamin Franklin age 81, and the youngest was Jonathan Dayton of New Jersey age 26.

1.5.1.1. The purpose of the Bill of Rights was to guarantee the individual rights of citizens under the Constitution.

1.5.3.1. At all times, this document gives us our laws.
