4.1. Sumeria

4.1.1. Sumerian writing is called Cuneiform

4.1.2. Ruins of artifacts provide us with examples of the Sumerians' artistry and creativity.

4.1.3. Architecture includes the use of arches, ramps, and columns all visible.

4.1.4. Used sharp tools to make wedge-shaped symbols on clay tablets.

4.2. Shang/Zhou

4.2.1. Used pictures and symbols for writing found in oracle bones.

5.1.1. Berried loved ones in tombs,would put things in the tombs because they thought they would need in the after life.

5.1.2. They liked to worship their ancestors, and leave gifts for them to make them happy.

5.1.3. Used oracle bones to ask their ancestors advice for life.

5.1.4. Sacrificed slaves so they could help their master in the after life.

5.2.1. Believed gods were like humans in some ways. They ate, drank, fell in love, and married.

5.2.3. Believed god protected each city-state.

5.2.4. God's controlled all natural forces.

6.1.2. Remains were found and showed that the Sumerians built sewers.
