1. Oral Stage (Birth-1): If a child is weaned off of the breast too soon or late they develop oral habits (ex: sucking their thumb, nail biting, etc)

2. Anal Stage (1-3): The over excessiveness of potty training can lead to extreme neatness or sloppiness

3. Phallic Stage (3-6): Sexual conflict. They are introduced to masturbation and develop an attraction to the parent of the opposite sex and begin to rival with parent of the same sex.

4. Latency Stage (6-12): At this stage the children learn to control their sexual desire and focus on skill and social development.

5. Genital (adolescence): When sexual maturity begins and one is introduced to sexual intercourse.
