1. There are two unique indefinite articles in English (a, an) that work like the two Spanish forms (un, un). In English, as in Spanish, the indefinite article refers to an unspecified thing.

1.2.1. The indefinite article "an" is used in front of a noun that begin with a vowel. However, there are some exceptions. Nouns that begin with eu- or ur- require the indefinite article "a".
