1.3. The Code of Good Governance sets out the principles and key elements of good governance for the voluntary committee. Its five key principles cover: Principle 1 - An effective board will provide good governance and leadership by understanding its role and responsibilities. Principle 2 - An effective board will provide good governance and leadership by working well both as individuals and as a team. Principle 3 - An effective board will provide good governance and leadership by ensuring delivery of organisational purpose. Principle 4 - An effective board will provide good governance and leadership by exercising appropriate control. Principle 5 - An effective board will provide good governance and leadership by behaving with integrity and by being open and accountable.

2.2.1. A vision is a clear and inspirational hope for the future.

2.3.1. The mission statement is:  the core message of the organisation’s purpose and reason it exists;  what you are trying to do, why, and for whom.

2.4.1. An organisation's values are its guiding principles which apply across the organisation and underpin how its work is carried out. An organisation's values are its basic beliefs about what really matters, which guide how things should be done.

3.1.3.1. The Treasurer has a watchdog role over all aspects of financial management, working closely with other members of the Executive Committee to safeguard the organisation's finances.

3.1.3.1.1. In summary, the Treasurer is responsible for: 1. General financial oversight 2. Funding, fundraising and sales(this may be something for the future) 3. Financial planning and budgeting 4. Financial reporting 5. Banking, book keeping and record keeping 6. Control of fixed assets and stock
