1. EDUCATIONAL APPS

1.1. EDUCREATIONS

1.1.1. This is an excellent tool. I can can record and write on the tablet a lesson. It is a great way to have students record their understanding or repeat everything back to me. The students can record themselveles.

1.2. PBS KIDS

1.2.1. This a free app where kids can watch two episodes of Curious George or Artur. There is also pbs.org where there are 30 to 40 games and audiobooks.

1.3. SEASONS & WEATHER

1.3.1. Science educational games for kids in preschool. Students pick clothes that are appropriate for the weather.; They connect weather conditions with the month but connecting pictures to descriptions.

1.4. EDU ROOM

1.4.1. There are matching games that go over color words, time, and music. There are puzzles that kids enjoy completing.

1.5. PINTEREST

1.5.1. Pinterest has behavioral modification pages with charts for school and at home.. There are pages and pages of teachingt tools, some of which are free.

1.6. BRAIN POP JR

1.6.1. This is an excellent site for students up to the 3rd grade level. . It has a movie of the week students can watch free but if you buy the software, there are movies in science, health, reading & wring, social studies, math, and arts & technology. Studets can listen to a movie and then take a quiz or teachers can download a hard copy quiz.; BRAIN POP is the same thing, but also has technology movings. Digital Citizenship is one of the movies on this site.

2. SOCIAL APPS

2.1. HOOT SUITE

2.1.1. This is way to manage all your social apps. Keep access on one page

2.2. UPLIKE

2.2.1. This is pretty much like Twitter. You can upload picutres, music, and links.

2.3. FLIPBOARD

2.3.1. Flipboard combinews twitter, facbook, news, and tech. After you put your personal interests on the book, you can flip from one to the other.

2.4. TWITTER FOR IPAD

2.4.1. I can use this at school if I am not at my desk. Sometimes I just have to sit near a table with my students to keep them on task so I take my Ipad with me. I can research at the same time.

2.5. KMBC CHANNEL9

2.5.1. This is a way to pull up news quickly.

3. PRODUCTIVITY APPS

3.1. WORKFLOWY

3.1.1. This is just a smiple way to make a list. This would work on an iphone to make a grocery list or a "to do" list before you go into work.

3.2. MY FITNESS PAL

3.2.1. This is a handy tool that is easy to use. I put in my weight and height. I have to put in what I eat, but it does all the coloric counting for me. The app actually gets all the information from the bar code.

3.3. DROPBOX

3.3.1. This is free service that lets you bring your photos, docs, and vidieos anywhere and share them easisly. You can do this instead of emailing yourself.

3.4. KEYNOTE

3.4.1. This is just like a powerpoint. You can add animation to slides. This would be a great tool to report back after a book study.

3.5. DICTATE FREE

3.5.1. This is a free app that acts just like a dictaphone. Very excited about this since I am going to have shoulder surgery and this will help me to collect my thoughts without have to type. I think this would be great to document information after a meeting or reminders to myelf as well.

3.6. WIKIPEDIA

3.6.1. This ia a free encyclopedia that can be modified by anyone. Because of that,, the information may be inaccurate. There is also Wiki software that can be used both publically and privatedly.. There are limits placed so that only certanin people can edit the information.
