Nina Ibarguen

1. Politics

1.1. The people who posses the most power in my home are my parents because they are the adults of the house. They also posses all the power because they are our parents and they deserve our respect, and they have more experience of life.

1.2. I have enough power to control my little sister and sometimes to get my mom and dad to buy me something or let me do something. I am able to exercise my power by asking nicely, behaving well, and being very persuasive.

1.3. I agree with people who do well and help their country. I deffinetly do not agree with the lack of judgement the politicians from Guatemala have, they are all a bunch of corrupt liars.

1.4. My family from my dad's side is very conservative on politics and liberal on economy, they are also from the republican party. Sometimes I try to understand more about politics in the USA but I don't really care as much because it's not my country, I focus more on the politicians from my country.

2. Economics

2.1. There are a lot of different of business around my community like shopping malls, restaurants, hair salons, grocery shops, car shops, sport centres, etc.

2.2. I think that the ones who control the money in my hous are my mom and dad because it's their money and they earned it. It's their choice how they chose to spend it.

2.3. I do not have a say on how the money is spent if there are discussions about light, or water payments. I could change which restaurant we go to or which trip we go to with a little persuation.

2.4. I have never worked anywhere.

3. Sociology

3.1. The most important things for me in my life are happiness, family, and education.

3.2. The rituals that we have are that we do religious things like baptizing, or the first communion which are rituals that have existed for a very long time. These rituals are important to me because religion is a very important thing in my life so I want to mantain these rituals with my kids and hope they do the same.

4. History

4.1. My Family is a little mixed on both sides. My Dad's side of the family came all the way from Italy and from Maine. My Mom's side of the familly are originally from Guatemala

4.2. Some important experiences from my life are that I always travel somewhere with my family. Wether it's to go all the way to Europe or just to go to our hous in Rio Dulce for the weekend.

4.3. Some Aspects of my culture are that since my dad's family is American, we celebreate Thanksgiving on November so it is a big feast. And also since we are Guatemalan we celebrate all Guatemalan events like: La quema del diablo, or independence day on September 15th.

5. Geography

5.1. My neighborhood is awesome beacause it is where all my family from my dad's side lives. My grat grandfather bought this huge a long time ago so now we all live on it. It is full of nature and trees, dogs and chickens, and even bunnies!

5.2. My family from my dad's side comes from Maine and Italy. And now we all live in this big land.

6. Philosophy

6.1. I could say my philosophy in life is treat others as you want to be treated becasue that is truly the key to respect.

6.2. I see the world like it is the most extreaordinary thing filled with great people. I truly believe that no one is born evil, they become evil becasue they chose to not because they were born a maniac.

6.3. I know my parents educated me enough to know my values and to put them in use. My values are to be honest, respectful, kind, responsible, empathetic and live simply so others can simply live.

6.4. I see the world like it is the most extreaordinary thing filled with great people. I truly believe that no one is born evil, they become evil becasue they chose to not because they were born a maniac.
