5.2. James 3

5.2.1. 1 Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly. 2 We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check. 3 When we put bits into the mouths of horses to make them obey us, we can turn the whole animal. 4 Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. 5 Likewise, the tongue is a small part of the body, but it makes great boasts. Consider what a great forest is set on fire by a small spark. 6 The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole body, sets the whole course of one’s life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. 7 All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures are being tamed and have been tamed by mankind, 8 but no human being can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. 9 With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be. 11 Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? 12 My brothers and sisters, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

6. Serving: +++++ All the above over serving or feed my sheep.

7. *: Philosophy without spirituality

9. Purpose

9.1. The Green Band is a simply a wrist band that serves as a reminder to strive to achieve James 1:27

9.2. Based on James 1:27: "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world".

9.3. On the band is written: "True Religion..James 1:27 (+++/<$%© ¥)*"

9.3.1. Side One

9.3.1.1. Side Two

9.4. The Symbols Represent: +++ Acts of Service and Kindness which correlate with the first part of the scripture: "..to look after orphans and widows in their distress.." / The division symbol separates the two parts of the scripture. The first being the good and the second being the evil < The Tongue - Slander, Gossip, $ Love of Money, Greed % Sexual Immorality © - Copyright, Plagiarism, Stealing, Coveting ¥ - Not sure what this symbol is called but here it represents "Drugs" ( )* The parenthesis with an asterisk represent the idea that all these topics are represented on the "platform" of the Christian faith, acknowledging that many will experiment with these things without attributing the results necessarily to a corresponding relationship with Jesus Christ

9.5. To serve as an accountability tool. By going through the exercise perhaps weekly of asking oneself to brainstorm who their life relates to each of these topics, we can explore more conscientiously the possibility of an unseen spiritual world. The goal is to discover what can not be proven or dis-proven: spiritual enlightenment and the confirmation that there is a God who cares and want to be a part of our life. To offer a systematic way for people to share their experiences

9.6. Audio Recording

10. Other Strategies with the band

10.1. Wear the band on the left hand when one can in good conscience say that they are achieving their personal best in adhering fervently the James 1:27 Scripture.

10.2. Wear the band on the left hand inside out when they are not doing so but are repenting.

10.3. Wear the band on the right hand when temporarily taking a break.

10.4. Wear the band on the right hand inside out when knowingly they are not actively pursuing James 1:27

10.5. Take the band off when not in the game at all.
