1. Childhood and Early Life
1.1. Born on February 21, 1946, in West London, England.
1.2. He was the second of four children
1.3. His father died of lung cancer when Rickman was 8 years old.
2. Education
2.1. won scholarship to Latymer Upper School in London
2.1.1. appeared in several school plays
2.2. studied graphic design at Chelsea College of Art and Design and the Royal College of Art.
2.2.1. After graduating, he started a graphic design company, Graphiti, with a group of friends ( for about 3 years)
2.3. At age 26, applied to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
2.4. Attended Chelsea College of Art and Design
3. Career
3.1. In 1978, joined the Royal Shakespeare Company, appearing in "The Tempest and Love's Labour's Lost"
3.2. the 1980s acting in BBC serials, radio dramas and repertory theater.
3.2.1. Romeo and Juliet (1978) and The Barchester Chronicles (both 1982).
3.3. 1985 with the starring role of Le Vicomte de Valmont in "Les Liaisons Dangereuses"
3.4. Hans Gruber in Die Hard (1988).
3.4.1. 1st Hollywood film role, After this became know for playing villainous roles
3.5. Quigley Down Under (1990)
3.6. ( 1991) "Close My Eyes" and "Truly, Madly, Deeply"
3.7. "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" played Sheriff of Nottingham (1991)
3.8. "Sense and Sensibility" (1995)
3.9. "Rasputin: Dark Servant of Destiny"(1996)
