2.1. A typeface is a family of graphic characters, often with many type sizes and styles. A font is a collection of characters of a single size and style belonging to a particular typeface family.

4. Bitmap vs Vector

4.1. Fonts can either be stored as bitmapped or vector

4.2. Bitmaps font consist of a matrix of dots or pixels representing the image.  -File size increases as more sizes are added.   -Require a lot of memory.   -Non-scalable.

5. Rasterization

5.1. Font rasterization is the process of converting text from a vector description to a raster or bitmap description

6. Anti-aliasing

6.1. Antialiasing blend the font into the background color. It refers to the smoothing of jagged edges of drawn graphics and text to improve their appearance or readability

7. Hypertext vs Hypermedia

7.1. Hypertext   -Hypertext is a text which contains links to other texts.   -The term was invented by Ted Nelson around 1965.   -Hypertext is the subset of hypermedia.

7.2. Hypermedia Hypermedia is not constrained to be text-based. It can include other media, e.g., graphics, images, and especially the continuous media – sound and video.
