Integrating FNMI using technology af Mind Map: Integrating FNMI using technology

1. Podcast

1.1. Usually funny, short, and educational. A good way to get across serious content without getting too serious

1.2. Students can make their own podcast on an FNMI topic of choice. A good example would be interviewing a member of an FNMI nation or a leader/scholar

2. Audiobook

2.1. Sometime students can pay more attention to content when they don't have to actually read the words, just listen

3. Zoom or Skype

3.1. Opportunity to talk with a FNMI leader or elder who is not located in same place

3.2. Could have Zoom sessions with other students, maybe some FNMI students and you can directly ask them questions you have or what they are learning

4. Youtube

4.1. A very easy way to integrate FNMI in classrooms is with video. Short videos with serious content will keep the students engaged and listening

4.2. Also a good way to teach how to pronounce words of the FNMI people

5. Google earth

5.1. Good way to show students where different treaties exist and also locations of residential school

5.2. Can show how far FNMI people had to travel whether it was to school or for resources
