1. Judicial Branch

1.1. Article lll

1.1.1. A member of the Supreme Court is appointed by the president and approved by the senate

1.2. No clear requirements to become member of Supreme Court

1.3. There are 9 justices and head justice is known at the Chief Justice

1.3.1. Serve for life unless they are impeached

1.4. Supreme Courts powers consist of judicial review

2. Executive Branch

2.1. A presidential candidate must be a natural born citizen of the United States, a resident for 14 years, and 35 years of age or older. A Vice Presidents requirements are the same as the president.

2.1.1. The roles of the president are: chief of state, chief of executive, chief administrator, chief diplomat, commander in chief, chief legislator, chief of party, and chief citizen.

2.2. The term length for them are 4 years and the limit is 8 years

2.3. The powers of the Executive Branch are being able to veto, or reject, a proposal for a law. Appoint federal posts, such as members of government agencies. Negotiate foreign treaties with other countries. Appoint federal judges. Grant pardons, or forgiveness, for a crime.

2.4. There are 15 executive departments and they are: department of commerce, energy, agriculture, homeland security, defense, interior, treasury, justice, veteran affairs, education, transportation, labor, state, human services, and housing and urban development

3. Legislative Branch

3.1. The two chambers of the Federal Government are the HOR and Senate.

3.1.1. For Senate the age requirement is age of at least 30, US citizen for at least 9 years, and residency of state they are representing.

3.1.2. For the HOR the requirements are a age of at least 25, US citizen for 7 years, and live in state they represent

3.1.3. There are 100 senators, 2 for each state. 435 are in the HOR

3.1.4. Senators are elected to 6 years and every 3 years they face election or reelection. Members of HOR are sentenced to serve two-year terms and are considered for reelection every even year.

3.2. The powers of the Legislative Branch are: makes all laws, declares war, regulates interstate and foreign commerce and controls taxing and spending policies.
