1. Serviced Accomodation

1.1. Refers to a service provided together with an overnight stay.

1.2. There are two main types

1.2.1. Hotels

1.2.1.2.1. Are luxurious hotels located near holiday attractions such as beaches, mountains, etc. They provide many facilities like sports, bar, restaurants, nightclubs and kids' clubs.

1.2.1.3.1. Are smaller than standard hotels, are are luxurious stylish and set in unique locations.

1.2.1.4. Airport Hotels

1.2.1.4.1. Are located inside or very close to airports for the convenience of travellers, airline and staff.

1.2.1.5. Business and Conference Hotels

1.2.1.5.1. Offer guests not only business services like Internet access and conference rooms but also leisure and sports facilities.

1.2.1.6. Eco-Hotels

1.2.1.6.1. These hotels are built using eco-friendly materials and they limit their impact on the environment recycling.

1.2.2.1. Bed And Breakfast

1.2.2.1.1. The hosts provide breakfast and offer a room.

1.2.2.2. Country Inn or Pub

1.2.2.2.1. The owner provides food at lunchtime and in the evening.

1.2.2.3.1. Have more rooms than B&Bs and their owners live in a separate area within the property.

2. Self-catering accomodation

2.1. Refers to all the types of accomodation in which people have to their own cleaning, cooking and shopping.

2.1.1. Generally, all the self-catering properties are supplied with household appliances and equipment such as cutlery and crockery

2.2. Holiday Rented Properties

2.2.1. Most suitable for families,older people or larger groups. They are usually rented on a weekly basis.

2.3. Studios

2.3.1. Small flats that combine living room, bedroom and kitchenette into one single room.

2.4. Cottages and Bungalows

2.4.1. Usually located in costal or dual settings.

2.5. Chalet and Cabins

2.5.1. Are more common in mountain area.

2.6. Houseboats

2.6.1. Are great for the tourist that enjoy cruising

2.7. Home exchange or house swap

2.7.1. Two parts agree to swap their homes for a set period of time thus saving on accomodation.

2.8. Self-catering is an increasingly popular form of tourism on farms.

2.8.1. This type of accommodation is popular with families.

2.9. Youth Hotels

2.9.1. Are a great way to travel on a budget and have a fantastic social experience, offer a shared rooms for individuals, couple and groups in dormitories.

2.10. Caping, caravan and motorhome parks

2.10.1. Are perfect for nature lovers traveling with their vehicle. Any parks also have caravans, tends and pitches with water and electricity.
