1.1. pollution goes into the atmosphere when refining the steel

1.2. iron ore is taken out of the ground

1.3. coal and limestone are also used in the refining of steel

2. aluminium

2.1. destroys the environment by being opencut to get ore and bauxite

2.2. electricity is used to power the machines mainly comes from coal which pollutes the atmosphere

3. timber

3.1. forests have been cut down to get the timber

4. cast iron

4.1. requires vast amounts of coal and coke to refine it

5. polymer

5.1. can be recycled and reused to help the environment

5.2. they are light weight so they require less energy to be moved
