1.1. It's necessary to know people needs and fulfill the requirements of a demanding world.

2.2. English accomplishes these needs in 75 countries, and in other 100 countries is taught in school and universities.
2.3. English has become the second language by numbers of speakers in the world.
3. Current Status of English
3.1. Studies show that 1.35 billion people speak English as a native language. It represents the17% of the world's population.
3.2. English is used as a Foreign Language in 142 countries in the world.
4. English as a lingua franca
4.1. Is adopted as a common language between speakers who speak different languages with the purpose of communication.
5. Dangers of a global language
5.1. A global language could cultivate an elite monolingual linguistic class, which can lead to a manipulation of those who have it as their mother tongue towards those who do not have it.
