1. Syllabus

1.1. General Policies

1.1.1. Showing up in class is the most important.

1.1.2. No copying/plagiarizing; cheating is not tolerated.

1.1.3. Questions are encouraged and necessary, no side conversations except if it's about academic topics.

1.1.4. Focus on the teacher during instructions, listen when someone else is contributing to the discussion, follow directions the first time they are given, and adopt team spirit for group work.

1.2. Make-up Work Policy

1.2.1. Late work is accepted for 50% partial credit. All late work made up must be made-up within the current Unit being taught.

1.3. Grading Policies

1.3.1. Grades will be based on a percent scale: Above 90% = A 89% - 80% = B 70% - 79% = C 60% - 69% = D 59% and below = F

1.4. Grade Breakdown

1.4.1. Homework / Classwork / Quizzes = 40% Labs / Projects= 30% Exams = 30%

1.5. Coursework

1.5.1. The coursebooks that'll be given have 4 units - each unit will have their own work book.

1.5.2. Google Classroom will be used for all assignments.

2.1. To demonstrate the S in SPARK, one way to show respect is to giving your full attention to the teacher.

3. The P in SPARK stands for "Persevere Towards Goals"

3.1. To demonstrate the P in SPARK, you can set up your plan throughout school. For example, using an journal to organize your plan.

4. The A in SPARK stands for "Act Responsibly"

4.1. To demonstrate the A in SPARK, go and try to help your classmates when help is necessary.

5. The R in SPARK stands for "Relate with Empathy"

5.1. To demonstrate the R in SPARK, you need to treat others how you'd like to be treated. For example, giving your full attention to them when they're the ones speaking.

6. The K in SPARK stands for "Keep Kindness Going"

6.1. To demonstrate the K in SPARK, you should use appropriate langauge. Using bad language is a negative way of bringing down others because they could be quite sensitive compared to some others.
