1.2. My definition:The bending of a wave when it goes around the object or a crack in it.

1.3. Examples: Radio Waves and Light Waves.

2. Destructive Interference

2.1. Book Definition: Occurs when two or more waves combine to make a smaller displacement.

2.2. My Definition: Opposite of Constructive Interference.

2.3. Examples:Ripples,Medium

3. Standing Wave

3.1. Book Definition: A wave that appears to stay in one place.

3.2. My Definition: A wave that does'nt move

3.3. Examples:1) Light 2) Sound wave

4. Reflection

4.1. Book Definition: The interaction the occurs when a wave bounces off a surface that it cannot pass through.

4.2. My Definition: A wave bouncing off something that it cant pass through.

4.3. Example: Looking in the mirror or still water

5. Refraction

5.1. Book Definition: The interaction that occirs when a wave bounces off a surface that it cannot pass through.

5.2. My Definition: A wave that bends when it goes through a medium.

5.3. Example: Rainbow or sound changing underwater.

6. Interference

6.1. Book Definition: Occurs when two or more waves overlap or combine together.

6.2. My Definition: Two or more waves come together.

7. Constructive Interference

7.1. Book Definition:Occurs when two or more waves combine to produce a wave with a larger displacement.

7.2. My Definition: Two or more waves combined to make a big wave.

7.3. Examples: Tsunami or Tidal Wave
