Components to draw audiences attention

1. Audience pleasures

1.1. Audiences love Enigma, The more the suspense the more the audiences are attracted, often they enjoy being sadistic: or enjoy watching bad , audiences like justice and they also like to be put into the shoes of the actor, and feel them while sat comy on their sofas

2. Narrative pleasures

2.1. Narrative hooks, Cliff hangers, resolutions, enigma and an exciting climax.

3. Genre pleasures

3.1. Familiarities, conventions, variability, should have different themes, various subject matters such as crime gangster covering all the components that makes a gangster film which involves either following the stereotypes or either going completely against them.

4. Style aesthethics

4.1. Cinematography, costumes, props

5. How did we use them in our film

5.1. Style/ Aesthetics: Cinematography:dodgy alley, graveyard, dark room,abandoned building passage, everyday park.

5.2. Costume:Simple everyday clothing to appeal to audience, denim on denim, quite old fashion to show that hero is innocent this will again glue the audiences as they will want to see the transformation in him as he moves on to being a gangster.

5.3. Representation: Subversion of stereotype: we show Michale as a wolf in a sheeps skin, in other words we show him as acting all innocent until he takes the proper revenge from the murders for killing his father

5.3.1. This is a child idea

5.4. Narrative hook: Used at various places in the film, empty suitcase at the end, the idea that strikes Michael at the park, the parcel that Michael had received at the dodgy alley and the innocent look on his face due to the acting and the camrea shots that were taken to make him look gentle and harmless

5.5. Tone was set the theme, genre,colours and locations were set to give it the gangster thriller kind look.
