Comparing Linear & Quadratic Equations

1. A Linear equation is any equation with the form y=mx+b

2. m is the slope and b is the y-intercept, or where the line crosses the y axis.

3. If m is negative, then the line will slope downward from left to right.

4. A Quadratics equation is any equation  with the form ax^2 + bx + c = 0

5. All quadratics are parabolas.

6. If a=0 then the equation is linear not quadratic.
