1. The first-in-the-nation plan will be phased in over three years, beginning for New Yorkers making up to $100,000
2. annually in the fall of 2017, $110,000 in 2018, and $125,000 in 2019
3. Will current SUNY students be eligible next year? Yes. Are graduate students eligible? No. Are students who take online classes eligible? Yes.
4. Award recipients need to earn a passing grade to maintain their Excelsior Scholarship awards, provided they earn a total of 30 credits over the course of a year.
5. This program will make people quit there jobs. if people see that if they don't work they can send their kids to college for free they are gonna quit, i would too.
