1.1.3.2. Nurturing = poor children that "nurture" their parents by fulfilling responsibilities in the home.

1.2.1. these lower income mothers are more harsh/strict to keep their children in line.

3. Fear of crime

3.1.1. they see the favelas as having petty thieves or worse and as being crime-ridden
3.1.1.1. (yet the upper class consume drugs that fuel the activity of gangs and drug trade)
3.2. lower class
3.2.1. mainly feared for their children being involved
3.2.1.1. no matter they drug, they are considered problematic. Use of drug signals gang involvement/addiction.

4.1.1. when Gloria ran into him later on, he was seemed to be doing extremely well financially.
