1. RATHER
1.1. *It's an adverb used to indicate one's preference in a particular matter. *Example: •They would rather do things themselves , to make sure they are done properly .
1.2. ~It's used to precede an idea that Is different or opposite to a previuos statement. *Example: •"Lynn has sacrificed nothing of herself , rather. She sounds rejuvenated and in excellent voice".
1.3. It's also used to express emphatic affirmation , agreement or acceptance. *Example: -You are glad to be home , aren't you?. -Rather !
1.3.1. • She prefers to read the newspaper in the afternoon rather than in the morning. • We prefer to come to school by bus rather than walk. • He prefer to sit un the sun . • I would prefer to do homeworks by myself. • I'd rather eat a sandwich than an arepa. • She think she Is fat. • What do you think about it? • I think she'd prefer to leave now rather than tomorrow .
1.4. ~It's used with would (would rather) to indicate that there are two or more options and one Is preferred . *Example : •I'd (I would) rather be a hammer than a nail. •I'd rather go home than going to a party .
1.5. ~Would rather Is followed by the infinite without to. *Example: •I would rather study computing .
1.6. ~Would prefer Is always used with the infinitive with to or a noun . *Example: •I would prefer to travel by plane. •I would prefer a chocolate . Both, rather and prefer are synonims. They mean "preferir".

4. ~It means like (one think or person) better than another or others , tend to choose: *Examples: •I prefer to dance. •I prefer coffe.
5. ~It's used as a noun , an act of thinking . *Example: "On the way there , looking at Raymond with his sticky eyes and swelling cut ,I had a bit of a think".
6. ~It's also used to promote or advance (someone) to a prestigious position . *Example: •He was preferred to the past.
7. PREFER
7.1. ~It's used to submit (a charge or a piece of information ) for consideration: *Example: •"The prosecutor , bebore, preferring the charges againts the accused, looks for and gathers the evidence".
7.2. ~Prefer Is used to speak about preferences in a general form. But , when we speak about a specific preference , would rather and would prefer have the same meaning and are interchangeable. *Example: •I'd (I would) rather have fruit juice. •I'd (I would) prefer to have fruit juice .
7.3. ~ It's used to direct one's mind toward someone or something , used one's mind actively to form connected ideas . *Examples: -What's your opinion about music? -I Think it's wonderful. "I Think every individual situation Is just a litte different though they have generalities".
8. THINK
8.1. ~ It means to have a particular opinion , belief or idea about someone or something.
