2.4. Be familiar with the aircrew comms "cheat sheet" to properly "translate" common cover terms and abbreviations
2.5. Properly identify radio comm format/make properly formatted calls
3. Mod 2: Effective Comms
3.1. students read comms section of student handout guide
3.2. class video session discussion - review comms techniques, 3 Cs - provide practice paragraphs, students identify errors/ways to shorten as a class
3.3. homework: write 2 short paragraphs like the practice ones during class session that will need to be corrected. turn in for tomorrow's activity
3.4. Next day (day 3): instructor will jumble the homework paragraphs, assign 1 per student. Allow 3-5 min to correct it, then have students present to the group. If time allows, do a second round. If not, second round can be given out for personal practice/assessment

6. Mod 3: Radios
6.1. students read "radio comms cheat sheet" in aircrew checklists
6.2. class video session - discussion on radio comms techniques, EEIs, and formatting - one by one, instructor conducts practice radio calls with each student - second round practice: instructor sends a grid to each student one by one, student copies and sends grid back
6.3. homework: students write and record a practice radio comm with callsigns and at least 3 EEIs using FlipGrid
6.4. next day (day 4): class video session - create pairs/teams, students break out into separate video sessions for each team. Give them about 1 hr to create a script scenario, and to practice. each student should have at least 2 comms in the script, adhere to comms techniques, use cheat sheet for abbreviations and cover terms. reconvene as an entire class, and have each team take turns "performing" their script
7. Assessment
7.1. Day 4 will be review, formative assessments, and practice with team scripted comm exercise.
7.2. Day 5 assessments: One on one student video sessions - instructor calls student, passes a grid and/or some EEIs in a short 2-3 minute radio comm session, grading against rubric
