1. How do you believe students learn.

1.1. Cognitive Learning

1.1.1. "At the most basic level, the cognitive theory suggests that internal thoughts and external forces are both an important part of the cognitive process. And as students understand how their thinking impacts their learning and behavior, they are able to have more control over it." 1.1.1.1. I believe this is how some students learn because we are told to have growth mindsets/ Positive mindsets. When Students think Positively they usually learn more, and they seem calm, cool, collected. People who think negatively usually have a hard time focusing on anything else, but those negative thoughts. Someone with Depression will have a hard focusing focusing, learning, or just behaving in a classroom setting.

1.2. Behaviorism Learning

1.2.1. "The behaviorism learning theory is the idea that how a student behaves is based on their interaction with their environment. It suggests that behaviors are influenced and learned from external forces rather than internal forces." According to https://www.wgu.edu/blog/five-educational-learning-theories2005.html.

1.2.1.1. I believe this is how students learn because I learn a lot through reviews of the topic. Some of my teachers do reveiw through Kahoot, and make it fun by offering candy or a better grade on an assignment. I find it easier to remember the information when a prize is being offered.

1.3. Constructivism Learning

1.3.1. "The constructivism learning theory is based on the idea that students actually create their own learning based on their previous experience. Students take what they are being taught and add it to their previous knowledge and experiences, creating a unique reality that is just for them. This learning theory focuses on learning as an active process, personal and unique for each student." According to https://www.wgu.edu/blog/five-educational-learning-theories2005.html.

1.3.1.1. I believe this how some students learn because a lot of students are able to take information and apply to help them better understand the lesson. When I hear 'It's just like blane, except blank' I'm able to take this information and connect it in my mind, and I have something to accosiate it to when I try to remember it.

1.4. Connectivism Learning

1.4.1. "Connectivism is one of the newest educational learning theories. It focuses on the idea that people learn and grow when they form connections. This can be connections with each other, or connections with their roles and obligations in their life. Hobbies, goals, and people can all be connections that influence learning." 1.4.1.1. I believe this is how students learn because of the same reason Constructivism learning. It's very similar, but you're connecting your learning on a more personal level.

2. What else do you value and think is important in education and learning?

2.1. I think patience is important for both students and teachers. There are going to be students who are having a hard time learning, and all they want to do is give up. As a teacher you should set that child aside, and try your best to explain this to them, and tell them that learning isn't easy. Teachers also need to have patience when it comes to students who are misbehaving, failing, or just has a hard time learning. Not every student is perfect, so you need to make sure that you have enough patience to handle students who need help.

3. What goals do you have for your students, e.g. knowledge/subject matter mastery, skills, emotional development, behavioral goals, engaged citizenry, critical thinking, problem solving, experiential learning, diversity, etc?

3.1. Behaviorlal Goals

3.1.1. I want my students to respect anyone inside or outside the classroom

3.1.2. I want my students to listen appropriately to others, and contribute thoughtfully to conversations

3.1.3. I want my students to think about their language inside or outside the classroom, and how it affects others.

3.2. Learning Goals

3.2.1. My students should be able to show great understanding at the end of the unit

3.3. Communication Goals

3.3.1. My Students should communicate to me when they're struggling in a subject/topic

3.3.2. My students should trust me enough to communicate to me when something is going on at home or in school

3.3.3. My students should be able to listen Respectfully, and respond in a thoughtful way that contributes to the conversation.

3.4. Cooperative Goals

3.4.1. Students should be able to work in pairs or someone to get the work/project done

3.4.2. Students should talk to other students if they need help, or if they someone in class.
