1.1. Si usa quando, date delle condizioni, il risultato è certo, inevitabile. Spesso parliamo di verità assolute, scientifiche

1.2. Conditions (if + present simple) + Result (present simple)
1.2.1. If you run, you sweat
1.2.1.1. You sweat if you run
2. First Conditional
2.1. Si usa quando, date delle condizioni, il risultato è possibile, si può avverare.
2.1.1. If you study, you will pass the test
2.2. Si può usare anche quando facciamo una promessa o diamo un avvertimento
2.2.1. If you call, I'll answer
2.3. Condition (If + present simple) + Result (future simple)
2.3.1. If they don't raise up their bet, they won't get any money
2.4. La condizione può non trovarsi all'inizio della frase. In questo caso non si divide la frase con la virgola.
2.4.1. You will pass the test if you study
2.4.2. I'll answer if you call
3. Conditional conjunctions
3.1. Oltre a "if" possiamo trovare anche altre congiunzioni per introdurre la condizione
3.1.1. When
3.1.1.1. When I finish this exercise, I'll be ready for the test
3.1.2. Unless \ A meno che
3.1.2.1. Unless equivale a "If not" quindi state attenti alla "doppia negazione"
3.1.2.1.1. Unless you leave now, you'll miss the train VS If you don't leave now, you'll miss the train
3.1.3. As soon as \ non appena
3.1.3.1. As soon as I get my money, I'll pay the debt
3.1.4. Until \ finchè non
3.1.4.1. Until you pay your debt, I'll keep this watch as a down payment
3.1.5. Before \ After
3.1.5.1. After I have the exam, I'll return at work
3.1.5.2. Before going on holiday, we'll have a coffee togheter
4. Other result forms (1st contitional)
4.1. Per il primo periodo ipotetico si possono usare altre forme di futuro come "be going to", modali o l'imperativo.
4.1.1. If I miss him, I could get him at work
4.1.2. If it rains, I'm going home
4.1.3. If you are worried, call me!
