Industry 4.0 and it's nine pillars
da Fabiola Martinez
1. Augmented reality consists of assembling digital images about real pictures. This technology allows the user to obtain relevant information about their enviroment. In this sense, the real world is combined with elements of the virtual world to obtain more complete experiences, which would not be possible without the application of augmented reality.
2. Big Data
2.1. Big Data is data that is presented in increasing volumes, at a higher velocity and which contains a greater variety of information.
2.1.1. Volume: The amount of data is important. Businesses collect all kind of from various sources.
2.1.2. Velocity: the rate at which data is received and used. With the growth of the Internet of Things in Industry 4.0, data reaches companies at an extraordinary velocity.
2.1.3. Variety: refers to the various types of data available.
3. Autonomous Robots
3.1. Autronomous Robots are those with the ability to execute activities and tasks without the need for some kind of command or control given directly by the human being.
3.1.1. Types of intelligent autonomous robots: service robots, space exploration robots, robots for people with disabilities, rescue and emergency robots, and industrial robots.
4. Cybersecurity
4.1. The new business landscape is based on the interconnection of multiple intelligent devices that automate processes and generate valuable information for companies, Internet of things (IoT). IoT, big data and artificial intelligence present opportunities that requiere a revision of the tradional industry security concept. Taking care of information, implies implementing strategies to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of said information.
5. 3D Printing
5.1. 3D printing allows you to print three-dimensional solid objects. With industry 4.0, this technology goes further, with printing in a variety of industries, so that by little 3D printing will become a tool for everyday use.
6. Internet of Things
6.1. IoT is a digital interconnection network between devices wherethe exchange of data flows, which allows obtaining key information about the use of the devices in order to detect patterns, make recommendations and create new and better experiences for the user. The operation of the Internet of Things is simple, devices receive and transfer data over wireless networks.
7. Cloud Computing
7.1. Industry 4.0 ensures that industries, their respective deparments or areas, clients, suppliers and their functions are interconnected and integrating data that allow the automation of value chains so that there is greater harmony among all those involved. Integration systems allow the various platforms and company systems to connect with each other, sharing information and functioning as a single platform.
7.2. Is a storage computing service, the user's computer should no longer have all the programs, software and data installed because the network of computers that are part of the cloud takes care of this storage.
8. Integration of systems
9. Simulation
9.1. In industry 4.0, is also about the behavior of products, materials and production processes in real time. The central theme of the simulation is to take it to operations that are carried out in reality, the simulation will allow the creation of factories in controlled evirontments for testing before producing products.
10. Augmented Reality
