1. Types of Civilizations

1.1. The First Civilizations: The Peoples of Western Asia and Egypt.

1.1.1. The first civilization on record is Mesopotamia. Soon afterward, civilizations developed in Egypt, Western Asia, and the Western Hemisphere.

1.2. The First Civilizations: Ancient India.

1.2.1. Ancient India was considered as only two big Cities in Ancient India were called Mohenjo-Daro and Harappa.

1.3. The First Civilizations: Ancient China.

1.3.1. Ancient China is one of the oldest civilizations in the world. Its history is almost 5,000 years old. The Chinese civilization began in a major river valley called the Yellow River Valley.

1.4. The Civilization of the Greeks.

1.4.1. Ancient Greece was a civilization that started from thousands of years ago. At its peak under Alexander the Great, ancient Greece ruled much of Europe and western Asia.

1.5.1. The world of the Romans covers one of the most fascinating and complex civilizations the world has ever known. At the height of its power, the Roman empire stretched as far north as Britain and Germany and as far east as the Euphrates river.

3.1. Civilizations began to emerge in four different areas that gave rise to the great empires of the ancient world. Persian and Assyrian Empires, the empire of Alexander the Great, the Roman Empire, the Mauryan and Gupta Empires.
