1.1. When it comes grading assignments, there is a place where teachers can post the grade the student has received. Also, the teacher can return the assignment if they need to correct something. One of the cool features is that teachers can provide comments privately to the students in case the student needs help or the teacher is trying to answer their question or help them correct their assignment.
1.2. Teachers can communicate with their students through classroom announcements or by writing private comments under a certain assignment. Teachers can communicate with the students' parents through private comments from their child's google account.
1.3. Grading can be managed through Google Classroom because the educator has access to viewing the students grades and is able to manage them in case there was a mistake.
2. Posting Assignmnets
2.1. When it comes to posting assignments, you need to create the title and instructions. You have to also choose the due date and the worth of points. You can also add links, YouTube videos and other documents as well.
3. Students Turning in Assignments
3.1. Turning in assignments is easy for students because they can provide a copy of their document or google slides. Also, it reminds the students the day the assignment is due by simply cheching the classroom.
3.2. It allows students to students to upload certain documents from their google drive which is one of the best features. Also, students can upload documents from the drive on their computer.
4. Structure and Organization of the LMS
4.1. Schoology is a learning platform for K-12. The layout is a little different from Google Classroom, but is also easy for students to use. Also, there a sections for students to click on in order to find what they are looking for.
5. Ease of Use for Teachers
5.1. Schoology has become easier for teachers to use on a daily basis. Attendance can be taken directly on Schoology and there is a section for grades which provides calculations for each student. Students are able to join the class when the class code has been provided to them. Teachers have the benefit to post reminders for important deadlines or announcements that need to be brought to the students' attention.
5.2. Teachers can communicate with both parents and students through message features that Schoology offers.
6. Posting Assignments
6.1. Posting assignments has made it much easier for educators because educators can add units, class discussions, homework assignments and quizzes
6.2. When adding assignments or materials you can choose how you would like them to be displayed or you can rearrange the order.
6.3. In order to make everything look nice and organized you can create folders for different lessons and units alomng with having a folder for all the assignments.
7. Grading Assignments
7.1. There is grades section where students can check their grades by simply clicking the grade period for all the assignments that have been completed. Teachers can also mark if the assignmnet is excused, incomplete or missing. Students can also learn badges for being good listeners, leadership and for being student of the month.
7.2. Teachers are able to keep track of what their students are doing in the classroom. Also, teachers can do calculations in the gradebook.
8. Students Turning In Assignments
8.1. Students can submit their assignment by attachimng the document they were working on. Once the assignment is turned in, then there is a rocket ship that will pop up to show that the assignment has been turned in.
8.2. One feature that I love about Schoology is that students earn badges if they are being good listeners or demonstrating leadership which can really help motivate the students.
9. Structure and Organization of the LMS
9.1. Google Classroom has a very organized structure because it us divided up into three sections which include: Stream, Classwork, and People. Also, it makes it accessible for students to access their grades and it sets a reminder for them to know when the assignment is due.
10. Ease of Use for Teachers
10.1. Google Classroom is very easy to use which makes it such a great and beneficial learning platform.
10.2. Teachers are allowed to design how they would like their platform to look by changing the background. The way they can do this is by inserting an image or simply changing the theme color.
10.3. In order for your students to join the classroom the teacher needs to provide an invitation to their Gmail accounts. Alos, the teachers need to post their class code and provide them to the students .
10.4. When creating an assignment, it gives the teacher the option to post it as a question, quiz, and material.
