6.1.1. Because she is a new teacher and they think that she will treat them like babies just like the other ones.

6.2. (2)Most of the teachers at Wilson High do not dress in formal attire. Why do you think Ms. Gruwell chooses to wear business suits and pearls to class? What impression does this make? How do clothes, accessories, and make-up affect how other’s perceive you?

7.1.1. Because she thinks that someone will caught her and at the end she's going to die, the same thing happend to Anne Frank

8.1. (1)Why are the students filled with such anger at the beginning of the movie? Do you think their anger is reasonable?

8.1.1. The students are filed with anger, because they are dealing with important personal problems ans also gang problems. Their anger is reasonable, because they have to struggle for survival every day of their lives

8.2. (2) Why are the students so unwilling to associate with anyone outside their ethnic/racial groups? Where does this intolerance come from?

8.2.1. They don't want to associate with anyone, because they are afraid of each other. They base their knowledge on stereotypes that arise from color and thus, etnic group differences; yet they don't know each other.

8.3. (3) Why aren’t Ms. Gruwell’s students motivated to succeed in school? What outside factors affect their ability to learn?

8.3.1. Because they are obliges to go to school, otherwises they will not go to school. Some examples of outside factors are physical (abuse) violence at home, drug.

8.4. (4)Why do some of Ms. Gruwell’s students believe they won’t live past age 18?

8.4.1. Some students believe so, because they are scared they will be shot at in the streets dut to territorial wars

8.5.1. I would try to resolve the situation and after, if it doesn't work, I would call someone to help me as Mrs. Gruwell do it.

9.1.1. No, they have not problems like that in own school.

9.2. (7) Ms. Gruwell is the first teacher to show trust and respect for the “at risk” students at Wilson High. How does Erin Gruwell demonstrate this? Why are some students more resistant to trusting each other?

9.3.1. Trust is important, because you learn from a teacher and a teacher learns from his or her teacher.

9.4.1. Reading andwriting enables them torelive the suffering that they are experiencing. By doing so, they are experiencing therapy as a group andthus, understand that they are going through the same issues. In this way, they learn to trust each other.

9.5.1. In the class everybody loves each other and theyare not fighting anymore People can work on a common project or beliefs in that way when there is mutual respect.

10.4.1. He tooks the blame for another boy in the same gang and Eva knows it and she's angry about it.

10.5. (5) What makes Eva choose to “go against her people” in the courtroom? Do you think this was a good decision? How do her family and friends react?

10.5.1. Because she had a lot of pression and the people in her gang are really angry but her dad is on the top of the gang.
