2. Imbalanced Nutrition: Less than body requirements
2.1. Monitor weight
2.1.1. PT lost 7lbs in a week prior to admit
2.2. Educate patient on how to avoid fatty food
2.3. Nausea and vomiting
2.3.1. Administer antiemetics PRN: Zofran and/or Reglan
3. Monitor fluids and electrolytes
3.1. Continuous D5-NaCl 0.45% with KCl 20 mEq/L
3.2. I: 2404 ml
3.3. O: 685
4. Cholecystectomy
4.1. Abdominal Pain
4.1.1. PT reports pain of 2/10
4.1.2. Reassess pain level every 2 hours
4.1.3. Encourage use of PCA pump: Hydromorphone 0.2mg/ml
4.2. DVT
4.2.1. Adminster use of Sequential Compression Device
4.3. Bleeding
4.3.1. Monitor dressings for clean, dry and intact
4.4. Risk for infection
4.4.1. Monitor surgical incision
