3. A new definition of technology

3.1. Technology is difficult to define as everyone has a different perception of what technology means to them. My definition of technology before the module was basically anything to do with electronics. After the module I've realized my new definition of technology is any human invention that has impacted society in some shape or form.

3.1.1. "To a scientist, technology is the end product of one's research; to an engineer, it is a tool or process that can be employed to build beter products or solve technical problems; to an attorney, it is intellectual property and guarded; to a business exucutive, it may be the most important, yet least understood company asset." - Richard Li-Hua, 2007

4.1.1. New node

5. Why we need new technologies

5.1. We need new technologies because it is the sole way of how we've advanced and continue to advance as a society. Technology is needed so that we can continue to find cures for diseases; it's needed to find ways to slow climate change; it's needed to ensure that we can be as efficient as possible in our day-to-day tasks; it's needed to keep us entertained. In my opinion, technology is most needed to ensure that we, as a global society, can continue to stay connected.

5.1.1. "All the things that we see today that are changing our lives, we can always trace back to the introduction of some new technology." -Kevin Kelly, 2010
