1. Impressions and Ideas
1.1. The only things that are real are impressions and ideas.
1.2. Impressions-An image in the mind caused by something external to it.
1.3. Ideas-Any conception existing in the mind as a result of mental understanding, awareness, or activity.
2. What we are
2.1. We are a bundle of ever changing impressions and ideas.
2.2. Human beings are free consciousnesses.
2.2.1. Consciousness-awareness
3. What is real
3.1. We cannot perceive what is real, we do not know what is real and what is not.
3.2. We cannot climb outside our minds to know whether what we are seeing is really the way we are perceiving it.
3.3. We cannot know the true features of an object because we cannot perceive the real features.
3.3.1. For example I cannot know the true color of a desk because it changes from different perspectives.
