1. This article mentions how the important things learned in high school aren't learned within class, but after class. And how class readings in english can prepare one for life after high school, and that is because it teaches based on real life. This pertains to my writing because within my high school experience I made choices outside of class which made me mature, and see what is best for me. And readings in class has made me reflect on real life, and learn many lessons.

3. As reading in high school becomes mandatory many of those who have enjoyed to read, have not gained more interest in reading books. Also school making read a obligation it makes think that it is dull, and a class room setting makes it worse to understand the book as you are to captivate every moment in order to participate. This relates to my writing as many kids didn't find interest in reading that is why I mentioned we either chose to go home to read, or not, and kids found it very boring. And having to do cornell notes was what made reading a heavier course load, and students didn't enjoy class with a passion anymore.

5. Students in a high school in Idaho had to complete a project senior year in order to follow the curriculum, and it was a burden because it wasted most of her time that was supposed to be fun in high school. And community service was to be a part of that a journal and an essay, in order to demonstrate the whole captivity of the project. The school has a ongoing thing that no one has not graduated because of the completion of the project, and it causes stress on students because of dead lines and what they will teach the youth. This is similar to what is mentioned in my essay and how I had to do community service, and one of those was to read to children and make a lesson so they can learn from it. My english teacher was to check my overall work before presentation, and this was to get an overall grade in the class on my work quality.

7. The article mentions that many tactics a teacher uses within big classes, and find the difficulties students have to tackle hardships and encourage students to continue. Teachers break up students into different activities to learn amongst each other. The groups are divided amongst equal abilities, and how small english classes effects students learning as they are more focused This relates because I would have to have seminars and teach my fellow peers, and they where to share out what they learned. Also I would also be divided into groups in group work as we where seated amongst kids with the same quality or more of the team mates, in order to learn from the other ones.

11. This mentions how in english classes students have remedial classes which helps them get prepared for college, and then they are more aware of new tactics. One of the teachers within the article says it will help students within their careers and lives, because they all take in different lessons from class. This is relevent towards my english paper because it shows the curriculum in classes, and how they get us prepared for college. And the lessons we learned within my class has benefitted to be a different person.

12. As more students aren't college ready within high school education, the statistics are arising. They had students back into english classes there senior year instead of study hall, and many didn't like it. Senioritis was a big part, but many problems was not taking as much classes necessary. And many students where able to get on track and reduce the number of statistics. This symbolizes how many students in school felt they where ready so they didn't pay much mind to the actual lessons of class, and how one is to be more mature in school. Also most of the students in my school where college ready, but they had study halls which is because they don't have replaced classes.

As the author mentions the many things it has gathered within high school experience it states on how many mistakes has made her learn her lessons, and improve from them so she doesn't face those same things again. And the many positive moments have come from findings and learnings, within her community and her daily friends. I can relate to this because I mentioned how Mr.Miano has made me become more mature and endure from the mistakes I have made, and have a different emotion towards the many negatives in our lives. Due to Randy I have learned many mistakes are there for a reason. The article author states "When you play every game like it’s your last, you walk away satisfied, knowing you gave it your very best and you have no regrets" This made me realize to what my teacher always said based on from Randy Puasch and how the cards we are dealt with, we are to learn to play with them. Meaning we all change our own lives, and if we don't change it is all on us as we shape our future ahead of us.
