3.1. Men judge 'real' women more harshly because of advertising and pornography.

3.2. $2.5 Billion (+) was spent on advertising in the US alone (2009).

3.3. Based on making people feel anxious; makes products more successful.

5. Representations:

5.1. African Teenagers straightening their naturally curly hair in order to fit in.

5.2. If there is no women in leadership goals then girls/teenagers will have nobody to look up to.

5.3. There is a higher focus on looks rather than content of what is being said.

5.4. Girls are starting to see themselves as objects because other people see them as objects too.

6. Stereotypes:

6.1. "Women exist to be 'bitchy', 'catty', 'gold-diggers', 'stupid'".

6.1.1. Reality TV doesn't help these stereotypes.

6.2. Stereotypes happen because of the Media that is being shown- if an audience is constantly being shown the typical 'blonde bimbo' in TV shows/ films then people will start to believe them more.

6.3. Sexually explicit video games.

6.3.1. Lara Croft.

6.4. Majority if female characters in films and television are in their 20s and 30s.

6.4.1. This is a misrepresentation because only 29% of the population in the USA are female and aged between 20-30.

6.5. Same stereotypes being represented in TV.

6.5.1. Sexualized.

6.5.2. Never the protagonist, always the victim.

6.5.3. Emotional and irrational.

6.5.4. In kids movies (such as Disney), have the narrative for women to "find love" in order to be happy.
