4. The past simple, also known as the simple past, is the tense used in the English language to narrate events that occurred at a specific time in the past.

6. To form the past simple with regular verbs, we use the infinitive and add the ending “-ed”. The form is the same for all people (I, you, he, she, it, we, they). Exceptions: ... For verbs that end in an "e", we just add "-d".
