1.5. Why do you think that people are not educated on Eurgenics?

1.5.1. controversial--with the experiment side of it how are these experiments being run ethically.

1.5.1.1. because it is controversial it has been kept secret and hidden--not everyone would agree with it, probably a small amount of people were pushing that agenda

1.6.1. In theory it makes sense getting rid of negative traits and keeping the good traits

1.7.1. forced sterilization

1.8. we don't necessarily learn about the consequences of eugenics put into action

2. DNA/Gene-Editing

2.1. Ethics

2.1.1. Interesting how in the unnatural episode that people are okay to fix things that are broken (eyes need fixed, fix them), but people have problem with eagle vision

2.1.2. It isn't ethical to send the kits to anybody and everybody. People should have equal access, but people should be educated on it because folks could use the kits for bioweapons

2.1.3. Film: Everyone was judged on how good your genetics were--reading about gene-editing is pretty close to the film

2.2.1. Who has the power?

2.2.1.1. PhD dude selling the kits in unnatural

2.2.1.2. The educated, people that know how it works has the power

2.2.1.2.1. Cultural Capital

2.2.1.3. Who has more power--researchers or government?

2.2.1.3.1. Researchers--access to knowledge and education, they have been working on it for years

2.3. Where do we draw the line?

2.3.1. It's really hard to decide

2.3.2. There's already a lot of it out there

2.3.3. When the risks outweigh the benefits?

2.3.3.1. When will we know when the long term affects of gene-editing?
