1. Indus

1.1. Ancient Indus is Modern day India, and was built beside the Indus river.

1.2. The writing in Indus is not able to be read.

2. Egypt

2.1. Egypt’s civilization developed in a river valley with rich soil. However, Egypt’s geography and culture differed in many ways from those of the Fertile Crescent. The ancient Egyptians treasured the Nile River. They knew that without the Nile, their land would be nothing but a sun-baked desert of bright blue skies and dry sand.

2.2. Egyptian writing used hieroglyphics. A Hieroglyphic is a drawing or symbol that represents a word or a sound. Most ancient Egyptians did not know how to write. Scribes, or officials who knew how to write, were valued for their knowledge.

3.1. The land is in between river the Tigris and the Euphrates rivers

3.2. Made the writing called the Cuneiform.

3.3. The priests were the first rulers of Sumeria city-states.

4. Huang

4.1. Has a lot of sand and mountains all over and is right beside the Huang river.

4.2. They used oracle bones to tell the future.

4.3. The Shang kingdom rose to dominate a large part of the region to become the first documented Chinese Dynasty. A dynasty is a ruling family that holds power for many years.
