1. Phonology

1.1. Phonology provides insight into the systematic organization of speech sounds.

1.2. Phonology deals with how these speech sounds are organised into systems for each individual language.

2. Generative Enterprise

2.1. The knowledge of how words can be combined in meaningful sentences, phrases, or utterances.

2.2. The generative grammar must recognise those things which are allowable in the language

3. Phonetics

3.1. Phonetics deals with speech sounds themselves, how they are made, how they are perceived and the physics involved.

3.2. Phonetics allows knowing the difference between the vowels sounds.
