1. Chapter 1

1.1. Sophie already thinks philisophicaly

1.2. Receives first anonymous letter

1.2.1. "Who are you? Where does the world come from?"

1.3. Receives letter for Moller Knag

2. Chapter 2

2.1. Receives first written out letter, What is philosophy.

2.1.1. Shows Sophie to question Everything

2.1.1.1. "But what is the universe?"

2.2. Sophie questions here mom and begins to fear becoming like her

3. Chapter 3

3.1. Second full letter. Starts describing the history of philosophy in chronological order.

3.1.1. Sophie learns about creation of myths to descibe phenomenon

3.2. Sophie begins to wonder about how she knows things and how she think of things origins if she was not told.

3.2.1. "If she had grown u in this garden without knowing anything at all about nature, how would she feel about the spring?"

4. Chapter 4

4.1. She relieved two envelopes one with three short questions and one long detailed letter on the history of philosophy.

4.1.1. The long letter discussed the origin of everything and how many people believed in four main substances air fire earth water

4.1.1.1. Sophie wonders if things can really change.
