1. Aqueous solutions of acids conduct electricity.

2. Uses

2.1. Lemon and orange juice contain citric acid which is used in the preparation of effervescent salts and as a food preservative.

2.2. Sulfuric acid is used in batteries.

2.3. Nitric acid and sulfuric acid are used in the manufacture of fertilizers, dyes, paints, drugs and explosives.

2.4. Hydrochloric acid is used to make aqua regia, which is used to dissolve noble metals such as gold and platinum.
