5.4. Tx Principles

5.4.1. Reduce aqueous humor production

5.4.1.1. B-blockers, like **timolol** or carbonic anhydrase inhibitors, like **dorzolamide**

5.4.1.1.1. ~22% decrease in IOP

5.4.1.1.2. Preferable if only one eye affected due to darkness w/ PG analogs

5.4.2. Increase humor outflow

5.4.2.1. Prostaglandin analogs, like **latanoprost**

5.4.2.1.1. Most effective (~30% decrease in IOP)

5.4.2.1.2. **Bimatoprost (lumigan)**

5.4.2.1.3. **Travaprost (Travatan Z)**

5.4.3. Both

5.4.3.1. A-2 agonists, like **brimonidine (Alphagan) + timolol (Combigan)**

5.4.3.1.1. **Brimonidine (Lumify)** used for eye redness
