1.1.1. Much of the art by the Sumerians revolved around agriculture. A popular form of art was called "Cuneiform" which consisted of a cylinder with etchings on it, and you rolled it on a clay slab. That then created the picture.

1.2.1. Learned how to write. They used pictures to represent objects or ideas. Artist created highly decorative vessels. Created a precise calender based off the phases of the moon.

2.1.1. Sheep, Goats, Cattle, and pigs were all domesticated. Oxen were the most common beast of burden, and donkeys were most often used as transportation. Enclosed gardens were most often next to the house for personal farming. They grew barley, chickpeas, lentils, wheat, dates, onions, garlic, lettuce, leeks, and mustard. Harvest was most often in the spring.

2.2.1. Most people spent their time in the fields tending their crops. For a while farmers were called upon to fight in war or work along side slaves in building projects. Most people in the shang ruling had free time to hunt for fun. Wealthier people collected thing made of bronze and jade.

3.1.1. Some of the most common jobs were pottery making, Stone Cutting, Brick Layers, Metal smiths, as well as other professions. Sumerian people mostly relied on agriculture, and trade. Trade was most often done with textiles, and crops, with these being traded for metal, and lumber.

3.2.1. The surfs and slaves preformed all economic trades of the society. Silk became China's main export. Artisans manufactured weapons ritual vessels. main income came from farming.

Music was very important. it was a large part of there religion also. while women were protected by late law, they couldn't achieve a higher social status. they were more often regular civilians. There weren't many social classes. Basically there were just slaves and free people. Women whose husband had died remarried soon.

4.2.1. They had two different social structures, Confucianism and Daoism. Confucianism Expresses love and respect for others by practicing traditional manners and rituals. They believed that love disappeared and that's why there was violence. Daoism focuses on improving society by becoming one with nature so that all is good in the universe.

7. Science and Technology
7.1. Sumerians
7.1.1. Probably;y the most important advance made by the Sumerians was the invention of writing. They are also credited with the invention of both the wheel, and the potters wheel. They were also some of the first formal astronomers. They came up with the idea of having 60 minutes in an hour, and 60 seconds in a minute. They also developed one of the first sewer systems.

7.2.1. Leardned how to use iron which made their economy. Their army used iron weapons and created catapult. Farmers learned new techniques that increased the size of their harvest. Were able to create large structures such as tombs.

8.1.1. The Sumerian government was a Bureaucracy, meaning the most important decisions were made by state officials, not by elected officials. The second in command were most often priests, or holy men.

8.2.1. Ruled by a strong Monarchy. Rulers had a court that preformed rituals to keep the the kingdom safe. They had a large army to protect leaders and officials. Any dynasty that lost power was said to be corrupt and it was the will of the gods to be overthrown.

9.1.1. The Sumerians believed in an anthropomorphic polytheism. Or a belief in many gods in human form.Gods were custom to their own cities, and were often acknowledged somewhere else. Sumerians were some of the earliest people to record their beliefs in writing. They had many Deities including An, Enki, Enlil, Innana, Utu, and Sin.
