2.1. Introduction: 10 minutes

2.1.1. Students will discuss what was completed within the previous lesson where they read the ‘closing the loop’ resource sheet. Students will have a think-pair-share to give information to the class on what they learnt. The class will come back together for students to pose questions they would like to find out in the days research. Questions will be written on the IWB to be discussed at the end of the lesson.

2.2. Body: 60 minutes- 20 minutes per rotation 25 minutes end of rotations

2.2.1. As a class there will be a demonstration of each of the websites that students will be visiting while completing a rotation activity. The first group of students will be using computers to do their own personal research to answer the questions that were posed by themselves and their peers. Any information found will be written in point form in student’s technologies workbooks. The second group will be using books that have been collected from the library by the teacher. These books will be appropriate to the topic being researched. At the end of this rotation students will write down three or more new discoveries in their technologies workbooks. The third group will be working with the teacher on the IWB. The class will access a website called Eco Innovations where students will take turns reading information and exploring the website with the teacher. At the end of this rotation students will write three things they found out from this station in their technologies workbooks.
