7. Politics of Edu.

7.1. Traditional would be my chosen vision of education. People should take initiative and work hard to earn what they want in life.

7.2. "The conservative perspective believes... That individual effort is rewarded." Absolutely!!

7.3. I believe in the conservative perspective. I agree what the Reagan philosophy stresses, "individual initiative and portrayed the individual as the only one capable of solving his or her own problems

7.4. On page 28 in our book, The Liberal's believe on the role of the school is silly to me. School, "made a significant difference in the lives of countless Americans," because those Americans chose to make a difference in their own life. So, once again I believe in the conservative's perspective.

7.5. "Decline of standards" and "decline of values or of civilization," are definitely educational problems in our world today

7.6. "Conservatives argue that The US schools have succeeded in providing a quality education for those who are capable and have taken advantage of it..." I couldn't agree more with this. If you want to succeed and make a name for yourself then do it!

8. History of U.S. Edu.

8.1.1. GI Bill became a, " building block in the post-World War II educational expansion."

8.1.2. Plessy v. Ferguson

8.1.3. Chief Justice Earl Warren's statement

8.1.4. 1930s-1950s African Americans had to fight for their civil rights

8.1.5. "The Brown decision provided the legal foundation of equality"

8.2. Plessy v. Ferguson was a start for the fight against education segregation. Justice John Marshall Harlan's statement was, to me, sensible and courageous. It gave the African Americans a chance for equality in education.
