HISTORICAL FICTION

1. Setting: A type of made up story that takes place in the past: the elements areaccurate and authentic event. Usually the event or time period is about 30 years or more in the past.
2. Characters: dress, speak, act, live like people really would have during that time period. There could also be characters who actually lived during the time period integrated into the story.
3. Not an informational non-fiction history book....HISTORICAL FICTION
4. Plot: May incorporate some things that really happened long ago into the story: Civil War, Great Depression, Underground RR
