4.2.1. THANKSGIVING AFTER MASS Lord, Father all-powerful and ever-living God, I thank You, for even though I am a sinner, your unprofitable servant, not because of my worth but in the kindness of your mercy, You have fed me with the Precious Body & Blood of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. I pray that this Holy Communion may not bring me condemnation and punishment but forgiveness and salvation. May it be a helmet of faith and a shield of good will. May it purify me from evil ways and put an end to my evil passions. May it bring me charity and patience, humility and obedience, and growth in the power to do good. May it be my strong defense against all my enemies, visible and invisible, and the perfect calming of all my evil impulses, bodily and spiritual. May it unite me more closely to you, the One true God, and lead me safely through death to everlasting happiness with You. And I pray that You will lead me, a sinner, to the banquet where you, with Your Son and holy Spirit, are true and perfect light, total fulfillment, everlasting joy, gladness without end, and perfect happiness to your saints. grant this through Christ our Lord. 4.3.1. O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart, in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world, in reparation for my sins, for the intentions of all my relatives and friends, and in particular for the intentions of the Holy Father. 4.4. St. Thomas Aquinas' Prayer Before Mass
4.4.1. Almighty and ever-living God, I approach the sacrament of Your only-begotten Son Our Lord Jesus Christ, I come sick to the doctor of life, unclean to the fountain of mercy, blind to the radiance of eternal light, and poor and needy to the Lord of heaven and earth. Lord, in your great generosity, heal my sickness, wash away my defilement, enlighten my blindness, enrich my poverty, and clothe my nakedness. May I receive the bread of angels, the King of kings and Lord of lords, with humble reverence, with the purity and faith, the repentance and love, and the determined purpose that will help to bring me to salvation. 4.5. Prayer after Mass
4.5.1. Lord Jesus Christ, take all my freedom, my memory, my understanding, and my will. All that I have and cherish you have given me. I surrender it all to be guided by Your will. Your grace and Your love are enough for me. Give me these, Lord Jesus, and I ask for nothing more. Amen.
4.6. Apostle Paul : Flesh versus the Spirit (Galatians 5:17-21) We are soldiers of Christ standing against Satan. As Christians we are engaged in a personal great battle with Satan. The battlefield is well depicted in the words that frame the biblical passage of the Spirit versus the Flesh.

5. Aquinas's Quinque Viae (The five ways or rules of logic)
5.1. Infinite regression to God
5.1.1. Prime mover; the umoved mover
5.1.1.1. Some things move.
5.1.1.2. Everything moving is moved by something.
5.1.1.3. An infinite regression of movement is impossible
5.1.1.4. Therefore, there must be an unmoved mover of everything else.
5.1.1.5. The unmoved mover is God.
5.1.2. Efficient cause
5.1.2.1. Some things are cuased
5.1.2.2. Everything caused is caused by something else
5.1.2.3. An infinite regression of cause is impossible.
5.1.2.4. Therefore, there must be an uncaused cause of everything else.
5.1.2.5. The uncaused cause is God.
5.1.3. Contigency or being.
5.1.3.1. Some things exist and are contigent upon someone making the existence.
5.1.3.2. It is impossible for everything to be contigent, for then there would be a time when nothing existed; and so if there were nothing, nothing would exist now. That is, there is nothing to bring anything into existence. This is clearly false. Therefore, we have regressed contigency of existence back to God.
5.2. Perfect being
5.2.1. Varying degrees of perfection exist throughout the world
5.2.2. Varying degrees assume an ultimate standard of perfection
5.2.3. The ultimate standard of perfection is a supreme being, God.
5.3. Perfect design- the order of the universe.
5.3.1. All natural bodies of the world act toward ends (Laws of Physics, etc)
5.3.2. These objects of themselves are unintelligent
5.3.3. There must exist a supreme intelligence that guides all natural bodies toward their end.
5.3.4. This intelligence is God.
