6.1. Scriptures
6.1.1. Isaiah 29:23 For when he sees his children [walking in the way of piety and virtue], the work of My hands in his midst, they will revere My name; they will revere the Holy One of Jacob and reverently fear the God of Israel.
6.1.2. Matthew 5:48 You, therefore, must be perfect [growing into complete maturity of godliness in mind and character, having reached the proper height of virtue and integrity], as your heavenly Father is perfect.
6.1.3. Mark 4:24 And He said to them, Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you—and more [besides] will be given to you who hear.
6.1.4. Acts 9:31 So the church throughout the whole of Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was edified [growing in wisdom, virtue, and piety] and walking in the respect and reverential fear of the Lord and in the consolation and exhortation of the Holy Spirit, continued to increase and was multiplied.
6.1.5. 2 Corinthians 1:12 It is a reason for pride and exultation to which our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world [generally] and especially toward you, with devout and pure motives and godly sincerity, not in fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God (the unmerited favor and merciful kindness by which God, exerting His holy influence upon souls, turns them to Christ, and keeps, strengthens, and increases them in Christian virtues).
6.1.6. 2 Corinthians 5:12 We are not commending ourselves to you again, but we are providing you with an occasion and incentive to be [rightfully] proud of us, so that you may have a reply for those who pride themselves on surface appearances [ on the virtues they only appear to have], although their heart is devoid of them.
6.1.7. Hebrews 1:9 You have loved righteousness [You have delighted in integrity, virtue, and uprightness in purpose, thought, and action] and You have hated lawlessness (injustice and iniquity). Therefore God, [even] Your God (Godhead), has anointed You with the oil of exultant joy and gladness above and beyond Your companions.
6.1.8. Hebrews 9:12 He went once for all into the [Holy of] Holies [of heaven], not by virtue of the blood of goats and calves [by which to make reconciliation between God and man], but His own blood, having found and secured a complete redemption (an everlasting release for us).
6.1.9. Hebrews 10:19 Therefore, brethren, since we have full freedom and confidence to enter into the [Holy of] Holies [by the power and virtue] in the blood of Jesus...
6.1.10. 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
6.1.11. 2 Peter 1:3 For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [ full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).
6.1.12. 2 Peter 1:4-7 ...He has bestowed on us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape [by flight] from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature. For this very reason, adding your diligence [to the divine promises], employ every effort in [b]exercising your faith to develop virtue (excellence, resolution, Christian energy), and in [exercising] virtue [develop] knowledge (intelligence), And in [exercising] knowledge [develop] self-control, and in [exercising] self-control [develop] steadfastness (patience, endurance), and in [exercising] steadfastness [develop] godliness (piety), And in [exercising] godliness [develop] brotherly affection, and in [exercising] brotherly affection [develop] Christian love.
6.2. Story
6.2.1. That – there old dog of mine has follered me faithful and true, these twelve long hard and hungry years. He’s about – about the only thing that ever cared whether I lived or fell and rotted on the cursed track.” He rested again; then he continued: “That – that there dog was pupped on the track,” he said, with a sad sort of a smile. “I carried him for months in a billy, and afterwards on my swag when he knocked up. . . . And the old slut – his mother – she’d foller along quite contented – and sniff the billy now and again – just to see if he was all right . . . She follered me for God knows how many years. She follered me till she was blind – and for a year after. She follered me till she could crawl along through the dust no longer, and – and then I killed her, because I couldn’t leave her behind alive!” He rested again. “And this here old dog,” he continued, touching Tally’s upturned nose with his knotted fingers, “this here old dog has follered me for – for ten years; through floods and droughts, through fair times and – and hard – mostly hard; and kept me from going mad when I had no mate nor money on the lonely track; and watched over me for weeks when I was drunk – drugged and poisoned at the cursed shanties; and saved my life more ’n once, and got kicks and curses very often for thanks; and forgave me for it all; and – and fought for me. He was the only living thing that stood up for me against that crawling push of curs when they set onter me at the shanty back yonder – and he left his mark on some of ’em too; and – and so did I.” He took another spell. Then he drew in his breath, shut his teeth hard, shouldered his swag, stepped into the doorway, and faced round again. The dog limped out of the corner and looked up anxiously. “That there dog,” said Macquarie to the hospital staff in general, “is a better dog than I’m a man – or you too, it seems – and a better Christian. He’s been a better mate to me than I ever was to any man – or any man to me. He’s watched over me; kep’ me from getting robbed many a time; fought for me; saved my life and took drunken kicks and curses for thanks – and forgave me. He’s been a true, straight, honest, and faithful mate to me – and I ain’t going to desert him now. I ain’t going to kick him out in the road with a broken leg. I – Oh, my God! my back!” He groaned and lurched forward, but they caught him, slipped off the swag, and laid him on a bed. Half an hour later the shearer was comfortably fixed up. “Where’s my dog?” he asked, when he came to himself. “Oh, the dog’s all right,” said the nurse, rather impatiently. “Don’t bother. The doctor’s setting his leg out in the yard.”

16.3. Quotes
16.3.1. You may think that you must work very hard to provide for yourself and get ahead in life. But God wants you to consider the lilies of the field — they do nothing. They toil not, spin not and struggle not. Yet, they grow and are clothed by God while simply resting and basking in the sunshine of God’s love! And when God clothes them, they look even more glorious than King Solomon, the richest king who ever lived. Like the lilies of the field, God wants you to let Him take care of providing for your material needs, instead of you striving to do it yourself. When you let go and let Him, you will see Him bless you supernaturally, abundantly and generously! Just believe that if God clothes the lilies and grass of the field, which are here today and gone tomorrow, how much more will He clothe you, His eternal and precious child, with beauty and riches! All He asks is that you cease from your striving, allow Him to take over and just flow with Him! -Joseph Prince
16.3.2. “The law justified no one and condemned the best of us, but grace saves even the worst of us.”
16.3.3. “God does not leave you wondering whether you are saved or not. He tells you outright that you are His and that nothing can ever separate you from the love of Christ. Not even sin because His blood is greater than your sin!”
16.3.4. “The way some people portray God today creates the false impression that His mercy lasts for a moment, but his anger lasts forever!”
16.3.5. “Even though the law is holy, just and good, it has no power to make you holy, just and good.”
16.3.6. “Sometimes, when I hear the way some preachers preach, I really wonder, has the cross changed anything? The system of being blessed when you do good and being cursed when you fail was already in place before Jesus came. Why are they still teaching that we are under that system today?… Don’t negate the cross of Jesus. The cross of Jesus changed everything.”
16.3.7. “Knowing that you are completely forgiven destroys the power of sin in your life.”
16.3.8. "I am for the Law, for the purpose for which God gave the Law… God did not give the Law for us to keep. He gave the Law to bring man to the end of himself, so that he would see his need for a Savior.”
16.3.9. “Anyone who doesn’t focus on Jesus Christ and His finished work has neither the wisdom of God nor the power of God…”
16.3.10. “Believers are often exhorted to repent from sin. However, in the New Testament we are actually exhorted to repent from dead works. You see, sin is simply the fruit, dead works are the root…. Dead works are not sins. They are the religious things people do, thinking that by doing these things, they are gaining righteousness with God. If you pray because you think that praying makes you right with God, that’s a dead work. But if you pray because you are right with God and you know that He loves you, there is power there.”
16.3.11. “Let me teach you how to discern if the grace teaching that you are hearing is doctrinally sound. When you hear the new covenant of grace preached, it is always Christ-exalting. It always reveals more and more of Jesus… There is no grace without Jesus…. Grace is not a doctrine. Grace is a person and His name is Jesus. Therefore, there is no grace teaching without Jesus Christ. You cannot separate Jesus and grace!”
16.3.12. “The law is about you looking at yourself. The new covenant is all about you seeing Jesus.”
16.3.13. “The Holy Spirit never convicts (Christians) of your sins. He never comes to point out your faults…. It does not take a revelation from the Holy Spirit to see that you have failed. However, when you know that you’ve failed what you do need is for the Holy Spirit to convict you of your righteousness.”
16.3.14. “Sin does not stop God’s grace from flowing, but God’s grace will stop sin.”
16.3.15. “Look at all the people who received miracles from Jesus during His ministry on earth. Not a single one of them deserved it. They did nothing to earn their miracles… On the other hand, we don’t find any record of those who were trying to deserve blessings from God – the Pharisees – receiving anything from Jesus!”
16.3.16. “A Christian cannot commit the unpardonable sin… There is no sin the Christian is not forgiven of.”
16.3.17. “We don’t have to confess our sins in order to be forgiven. We confess our sins because we are already forgiven. When I say ‘confess our sins’, I’m talking about being open with God… Confession in the new covenant is just being honest about your failures and your humanity. It is the result of being forgiven and not something you do in order to be forgiven.”
16.3.18. “People give their lives to sin when they feel rejected and unwanted. But when they know that they are God’s beloved, no temptation can succeed against them.”
16.3.19. “Beloved, there is nothing you can do today to make God love you more, and there’s nothing you can do to make Him love you any less… Beloved, it’s not enough that you know that God loves everyone. You need to know and believe that He loves you, and let that revelation burn in your heart, especially when you fail.”
16.3.20. Religion says it’s about you, but the gospel of grace declares it’s all about Him!
16.3.21. Unconditional forgiveness is one of the most liberating manifestations of grace. When you know that you have been completely forgiven, you are free to forgive yourself and others.
16.3.22. To know His love is to know His grace. They are inseparable. God is gracious because He is love. Why did Jesus come? Jesus came to reveal the grace of a good God who loves us like a Father. He came to bring us good news of great joy that is for all people.
16.4. Personal Discourse
16.4.1. One thing that has helped me in my personal relationships is to keep my tonality in check. This means not raising your voice and talking with kindness no matter how the other person is talking to you, "By long forbearance and calmness of spirit a judge or ruler is persuaded, and soft speech breaks down the most bonelike resistance." I find that it's really easy to argue, even if you love the other person and you're a born again Christian filled with the Spirit. It's an easy thing! If you simply keep your tonality in check, you will solve 90% of your relational arguments. I want to also encourage you to remember what God's Grace is... there is a tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Believers are often exhorted to repent from sin. However, in the New Testament we are actually exhorted to repent from dead works. You see, sin is simply the fruit, dead works are the root…. Dead works are not sins. They are the religious things people do, thinking that by doing these things, they are gaining righteousness with God. So this means that we need to come into agreement with the LORD and recognize that we cannot obey the law without His empowering grace. Meditate on the quotes on this section, and listen to the affirmations, I believe soaking in this mentality daily is what really leads to the power of God. This is the most powerful section of P48X, get this in your mental diet by listening to the Audio under the Exhortation every time you workout at the gym, and if you don't workout at the gym it's important that you start, at least start doing some sort of exercise 40 minutes of cardio a day at least while listening to the audio, trust me, it's worth it.

18. REVERENCE
18.1. Scriptures
18.1.1. Genesis 20:10-12 And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely there is no reverence or fear of God at all in this place, and they will slay me because of my wife.
18.1.2. Genesis 28:17 He was afraid and said, How to be feared and reverenced is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gateway to heaven!
18.1.3. But Joseph dreamed yet another dream and told it to his brothers [also]. He said, See here, I have dreamed again, and behold, [this time not only] eleven stars [but also] the sun and the moon bowed down and did reverence to me!
18.1.4. You shall have charge over my house, and all my people shall be governed according to your word [with reverence, submission, and obedience]. Only in matters of the throne will I be greater than you are.
18.1.5. So now let the reverence and fear of the Lord be upon you; take heed what you do, for there is no injustice with the Lord our God, or partiality or taking of bribes.
18.1.6. You, even You, are to be feared [with awe and reverence]! Who may stand in Your presence when once Your anger is roused?
18.1.7. Do you not fear and reverence Me? says the Lord. Do you not tremble before Me? I placed the sand for the boundary of the sea, a perpetual barrier beyond which it cannot pass and by an everlasting ordinance beyond which it cannot go? And though the waves of the sea toss and shake themselves, yet they cannot prevail [against the feeble grains of sand which God has ordained by nature to be sufficient for His purpose]; though [the billows] roar, yet they cannot pass over that [barrier]. [Is not such a God to be reverently feared and worshiped?]
18.1.8. Then those who feared the Lord talked often one to another; and the Lord listened and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him of those who reverenced and worshipfully feared the Lord and who thought on His name.
18.1.9. But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor (deference, reverence) except in his [own] country and among [his] relatives and in his [own] house.
18.1.10. And His mercy (His compassion and kindness toward the miserable and afflicted) is on those who fear Him with godly reverence, from generation to generation and age to age.
18.1.11. And everyone who makes a statement or speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit [that is, whoever intentionally comes short of the reverence due the Holy Spirit], it will not be forgiven him [for him there is no forgiveness].
18.1.12. He said, In a certain city there was a judge who neither reverenced and feared God nor respected or considered man.
18.1.13. But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [ who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed].
18.1.14. But if one loves God truly [ with affectionate reverence, prompt obedience, and grateful recognition of His blessing], he is known by God [ recognized as worthy of His intimacy and love, and he is owned by Him].
18.1.15. Therefore she should [be subject to his authority and should] have a covering on her head [as a token, a symbol, of her submission to authority, that she may show reverence as do] the angels [and not displease them].
18.1.16. Therefore, being conscious of fearing the Lord with respect and reverence, we seek to win people over [to persuade them]. But what sort of persons we are is plainly recognized and thoroughly understood by God, and I hope that it is plainly recognized and thoroughly understood also by your consciences (your inborn discernment).
18.1.17. However, let each man of you [without exception] love his wife as [being in a sense] his very own self; and let the wife see that she respects and reverences her husband [ that she notices him, regards him, honors him, prefers him, venerates, and esteems him; and that she defers to him, praises him, and loves and admires him exceedingly].
18.1.18. Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed [my suggestions], so now, not only [with the enthusiasm you would show] in my presence but much more because I am absent, work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ).
18.1.19. For kings and all who are in positions of authority or high responsibility, that [outwardly] we may pass a quiet and undisturbed life [and inwardly] a peaceable one in all godliness and reverence and seriousness in every way.

19.3. Quotes
19.3.1. Without pursuing excellence, life will remain bland, very vanilla, lukewarm at best. The quest for excellence fuels our fire and keeps us from just drifting downstream gathering debris. This focus and need becomes quickly evident from the following verses. -Bible.org
19.3.2. The admiral asked how he had stood in his class at the Naval Academy. “I swelled my chest with pride and answered, ‘Sir, I stood 59th in a class of 820!’ I sat back to wait for the congratulations. Instead came the question: ‘Did you do your best?’ I started to say, ‘Yes, sir,’ but I remembered who this was. I gulped and admitted, ‘No, sir, I didn’t always do my best.’ He looked at me for a long time, and then asked one final question, which I have never been able to forget—or to answer. He said, ‘Why not? - President Jimmy Carter
19.3.3. The pursuit of excellence is never a matter of simply choosing between what is good or bad, but of choosing what is best or superior because it will better enable us to accomplish what God has designed us to be and do -Bible.org
19.3.4. Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit. - Aristotle

19.5. Personal Discourse
19.5.1. Doing things with excellence and being excellent have been major subjects of study in my life. I have not only read the Bible, but have read the modern-day success books and have found that the advice of Napolean Hill, Jack Canfield, Tony Robbins, and much of the Success Crowd form around one central principle that Jesus first introduced. Listen to this, "And if anyone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles." (Matthew 5:41) This is the first introduction of the concept of going the "extra mile." Much of the success principles talk of taking advantage of the opportunities life gives you to give. What this means is that when there is an opportunity to serve, do it professionally with excellence, and even add a bit of flair to it, add extra, and you will be compensated. Napolean Hill says you will receive promotions, and to under promise and over deliver is one of the best ways you can do this. I have found many times in my life, for example, when I have given out of love, God blessed me ten times almost within a few hours. For example, a friend of mine in Hawaii told me he was hungry and didnt have any money, we were at the mall together and I gave him $10. From there I left and met up with my other friend at the local university and as soon as I parked I went to meet him and he is sitting in his car. I get in his car and he throws me a $100 bill asking me to make him a Facebook. That's as good as giving it to me for free haha. A second and more recent time, after spending a few days in a Motel in Southern California, before my trip to Virginia for the Awakening Conference, I get a ride from this 59 year old grandmother who had been struggling financially and was staying with her daughter and grandchildren in this dinky motel I had been staying at. The day before I was able to minister, both her and her family the gospel and get them saved, and when I was about to take a taxi to go to my own grandma's house she offered to give me a ride. (Also on a side note, her car had been stolen 4 days prior and it was 2 days after that when she was at church and they called people up for prayer requests and her grandson went up to ask for prayer that the car would be found and returned, and exactly 24 hours after that the car turned up.) So she gave me the ride to my grandma's house and I felt stirred to give her $20. She thanked me heartily and left praising God. My grandma hadn't arrived yet at the house so I went in, made some salmon, had a nice meal and within three hours my grandma comes home and says she wants to give me an extra $200 for my trip. Anyone want $30? This also has to do with providing a service. I ran a few online tour agencies in Hawaii and when I would get a call from a tourist wanting to rent something like a Jet Ski, and I would go the extra mile by sending them a nice email with fancy graphics along with a free restaurant guide, nightlife guide, and locations to amazing romantic spots couples could enjoy for free, I would ask them then if there were any other tours they would like to do and they would book with me and sometimes I could make up to $1000 a call. This can be said as well for providing fast service. A tip in regards to fast service is giving yourself more than enough time. Let's say if someone assigns a task for you, ask for at least 5x more time than it would take to do it, that way when you do it in a fifth of the time they will be floored at how fast you can do it, they will be impressed and promotions are sure to come your way.
19.6. Exhortation & Exercise
19.6.1. Pursuing Excellence Should Not be Limited by the Nature of the Task
19.6.2. Pursuing Excellence Is a Matter of Choosing the Best
19.6.3. Pursuing Excellence Is a Matter of a Whole-Hearted Endeavor
19.6.4. Try this: When someone asks you to do something, give yourself five times more time than normal, and get it done as fast as your normally would, and watch their reactions.
19.6.5. Try this: When there is a chance for you to do something, give more than you normally would. If someone asks for $5, give them $10 for example, if someone asks for a cup of tea, make them a sandwhich to go with it, see what I'm saying? When you are given an opportunity to give, or do something for someone, do something on top of it to build what I like to call, Reciprocity with God Himself.
19.6.5.1. SIDENOTE* I was chllenged with the notion that You cannot outgive God. It was during a YWAM in Australia with the Reef to Outback miinsitry in Townsville during Christmas that we were challenged that we cannot outgive God. I went out and bought some journals to give to people because in YWAM the one thing you run out of is journals as the LORD just pours out so much revelation and ideas... so I give these two journals out and I get two journals back. Let me explain though how miraculous this was. Each person would give someone something and no one really saw what other people were giving each other we just went on what the LORD was telling us, and I get two fancy journals back. I get two journals worth almost $115 each evene though mine were around $5 each. I still have those journals, I loved those journals, and it has encouraged me to keep giving, remember, no one has ever gotten poor by giving. Radical giving is one of Gods secrets to prosperotyu, cultivate tithing but not just tithing but giving above and beyond. Miles Munroe says that tithing is like tacxes with the government, Its the extra giving that gets your name on plaques and on buildings not taxes.
19.7. Story
19.7.1. The colorful, nineteenth-century showman and gifted violinist Nicolo Paganini was standing before a packed house, playing through a difficult piece of music. A full orchestra surrounded him with magnificent support. Suddenly one string on his violin snapped and hung gloriously down from his instrument. Beads of perspiration popped out on his forehead. He frowned but continued to play, improvising beautifully. To the conductor’s surprise, a second string broke. And shortly thereafter, a third. Now there were three limp strings dangling from Paganini’s violin as the master performer completed the difficult composition on the one remaining string. The audience jumped to its feet and in good Italian fashion, filled the hall with shouts and screams, “Bravo! Bravo!” As the applause died down, the violinist asked the people to sit back down. Even though they knew there was no way they could expect an encore, they quietly sank back into their seats. He held the violin high for everyone to see. He nodded at the conductor to begin the encore and then he turned back to the crowd, and with a twinkle in his eye, he smiled and shouted, ‘Paganini…and one string!’ After that he placed the single-stringed Stradivarius beneath his chin and played the final piece on one string as the audience (and the conductor) shook their heads in silent amazement. ‘Paganini…and one string!’
