Technology Standards

1. International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE)

1.1. To develop standards for technology teachers, other educators, and students

1.1.1. Defining what educational professionals need to beware of educational technology

1.1.2. Teachers are assumed to be able to model and apply the standards made for students

1.2. Standards-S identifies the essential technology skills and knowledge students should have in order to be effective learners in digital age

2. National Educational Technology Standards (NETS)

2.1. Preparing tomorrow's teachers to use technology

2.1.1. Standards identified criteria for evaluating the knowledge

2.2. Offering teaching different resources such as lesson plans and videos along with many more

3. Similarities

3.1. NETS and ISTE standards soon evolved into the ISTE standards for teachers, students, administrators, coaches, and computer science educators

3.1.1. Teachers able to model and apply to students

3.1.1.1. Together the two standards provide current and feature educators direction and appropriate goals for implementation of educational technology
